Medallia Customer Solutions Analyst interview questions

I don't usually write review's for interview experiences but this one should be noted. The funny thing is I didn't even apply to Medallia, a recruiter got a hold of me saying I would make a good fit for this company. Knowing the job was 400 miles away for me, I still took it to see what they had to offer. The first round interview was with the recruiter who found me on LinkedIn. This was a very short 30 minute interview on getting to know me as a personal and my background which was pretty nice. Then after about a week, I get my second interview which went on for an hour. The interview was actually really good, I answered every question very thoroughly and with a lot of detail/mindful analysis. I'm a very blunt person and to me it had seemed like the Senior Analyst was very interested in everything I had done which felt like I was going on to the challenge round. This is not to be full of myself what so ever but I have 5-6 years of analytical experience in a lot of different fields including starting my own tech company. After the interview was coming to an end, I had asked my interviewer to be honest and if I seemed like a good fit for this company. He responded with a very positive but in the end, not so truthful answer. I get some generic email the next day saying they have better candidates to put in better terms. Clearly, in my honest opinion I had done a great job with that interview and answering questions with great knowledge. To not even send me a test to see if I could put my money where my mouth is was kind of unprofessional on their end. I think they need to be way more upfront at the end of the second phone interview. No one likes to feel like they did a fantastic job then receive an unthoughtful template about not continuing. I don't know what kind of analysts they are looking for but clearly their job description doesn't suit what they want.

Applied through an employee referral - they really value referrals. For the first round, recruiter reached out to me for a phone screen. Then, the second round was a 1:1 phone interview. Mainly asked me to elaborate on projects listed on my resume, and also gave me a simple open-ended case study question. Both rounds went very well, and they immediately scheduled me for the subsequent round. The third round was a 24-hour "Challenge" which consisted of two parts: data analysis in Excel, and write technical specifications for a given feature on a website. It was not too difficult, just time-consuming - probably took me 6-7 hours to complete. I didn't make it through to the final round. I asked the recruiter for feedback, but they never got back to me. I thought I did well (got many professionals in the tech industry to review my work after the exercise ended), but you never know what they're looking for on the Challenge. Overall, a very thorough, well-managed, and innovative interview process. I'm disappointed, but I hope to pursue opportunities with this amazing company in the future.
