Interview
The interview process took a month. First round was a general screen. Second round was on my resume and interest in Medallia, with 1 over-the-envelope brain teaser. Third round was a hard skills challenge that had a spec'ing exercise and a statistics challenge. Final round at Palo Alto was fine except I didn't get to interview with the third guy. They are awfully busy, but they should respect every candidate's time too, and commit to the structure of the interview. I didn't get thru, and asked for feedback. Yeah right that will happen...and they're into feedback analytics. Interview feedback is key to every candidate and they should understand that.
The hard skills challenge is a spec'ing exercise and the second part is a response rate prediction problem. They are simple, but the question is intentionally convoluted, so clarify all your assumptions with the interviewer.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Medallia (Palo Alto, CA)
Interview
I had a phone interview with an HR recruiter, an in-person interview with two Client Services team members, a 24-hour take-home exam, and another in-person interview with two more Client Services team members and a high-level executive. The HR recruiter was extremely pleasant and engaging and the Client Services team members appeared to be smart, well-spoken and friendly. Overall, I had a great experience!
