Disappointing Last-Minute Interview Cancellation with RIDICULOUS reason I recently had an unfortunate experience with Medica's HR , specifically regarding the cancellation of my scheduled interview at the last minute. I would like to share my feedback regarding this matter in the hope that to remind you guys how this company treat their candidates. I had applied for a position at Medica and was excited about the opportunity to potentially join the team. In both my resume and during the application process, I clearly stated that I was open to relocating for the role. Despite this, my interview was unexpectedly canceled at the last minute by the HR. The reason provided for the cancellation was that the role was located in MN, and I am currently residing in MO. However, I find this explanation rather puzzling and disappointing. Not only did I clearly express my willingness to relocate, but I also made sure to mark the option indicating my openness to relocation when applying for the role. This miscommunication and oversight on the part of HR have left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a candidate.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Medica (Minnetonka, MN)
Interview
Was contacted by a recruiter immediately after applying online, had a short phone screening. Was brought in for an onsite interview and was told they felt I was better suited for another position. I then went in for two more onsite interviews that were extremely short. After waiting a couple weeks, I had to email HR a few times to learn that the position was filled. The original recruiter I was working then suggested I apply for a "similar" position, which turned out to be one that didn't require a 4-year degree.
