I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Metromile
Interview
Challenging interview process, included a phone screen, data challenge and four back to back technical interview. Last steps were call with CEO and VP. Enjoyed the process and meeting all the people at Metromile.
Recruiter call describing the role, call with one data scientist who went over my resume and asked pretty standard data science questions related to things like overfitting, cross-validation, etc.
Onsites consisted of interviews with data scientists with coding portions, cross functional interview, and a leadership interview. Overall not as technical as I'm used to.
Seemed like the company was disorganized and didn't really know if they should actually have an open position for this role or not.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Metromile in Feb 2019
Interview
I applied through glassdoor and received an email requesting a phone interview within a few days. There was one technical interview with the head of the data scientist team where we covered SQL, regression techniques, and past work experiences.
