Interview
I applied for working at Michaels in general. The manager really liked me and had no position available for me. But he referred me to the District Manager who gave my resume to a Store Manager. I was interviewed by the store manager. Then the District Manager arranged an interview with me about 1 week later. She hired me on the spot and we negotiated my salary. I was paid more than an average Customer Experience Manager.

Easy interview process, met with multiple people, was able to ask questions, got a tour of the store and explained what I would be doing if I got the job.

Interview
The interview was the easiest interview I’ve ever had! They asked me 3 questions. They were short staffed so I was hired on the spot. Interview took about 5 minutes.
Very casual one on one interview. Moved up within the company to the current position I am at now. It can be hard to get a management position without working there prior. From my experience the store manager is the one to conduct interviews.
