I applied online. I interviewed at Michaels in Oct 2014
Interview
This was a group interview. It was scheduled for 11:00, but for some reason the interviewer started 15 minutes early and treated on time arrivals as though they were holding her up. We were, also asked detailed questions involving company policies we had no way of answering. We made our best answers, only to be repeatedly told, "that's not store policy". After the third such question, the interviewer remarked that she didn't shop at Joann's, only Michaels.

Question 1
The oddest question was, "What would you do if a customer handed you a $50 or $100 for a $3-$5 purchase? We expect you to show some common sense here,"
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Michaels (Tustin, CA) in Nov 2019
Interview
Interview went very well, met with two managers who were very friendly, eager to know about me, surprised that I had so much experience in retail and excited to have me on board
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Michaels (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) in Oct 2017
Interview
I applied and got a call two days later, they wanted me to come in tomorrow morning to set up an interview. The woman who called me was very nice and energetic and the store manager who interviewed me was the very same! They made sure everything on your application was correct(part time-fulltime, availability, name, position) and after the interview they tell you they would email you an acceptance or a rejection letter in 30min-1hr, along with a background check if you were accepted. My interview was 40 Min! We had a good time.
