      IT Support Interview

      Mar 6, 2024
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Mount Laurel, NJ
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Miles IT (Mount Laurel, NJ)

      Interview

If selected for an interview, you go through a very odd process. You take an assessment or two( depends on the role). Then you record yourself while answering their questions. If you pass that interview you go on site for yet another assessment and a panel interview. It’s a very frustrating process.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback and I'm sorry to hear you did not have a positive experience. At this time we are not following the process that you described. After we review applications and resumes, most of our positions begin with a one-way video interview, our side is prerecorded and it is designed to be convenient for our applicants. From there, some positions do have a remote practical exercise- but not all, and then a one-to-one interview with management. Because the great majority of our staff is working a remote work model, it would be extremely rare for us to request an on-site interview. And, we do not have multiple assessments to be completed. If you have any specific questions or would like to provide more detailed feed-back, you can always reach out to us at careers@milesit.com. I wish you the best of luck in your job search and in your career.

      Anonymous Interview Candidate

      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Miles IT

      Interview

The interview process was ridiculous. I spoke to myself in a video. They oddly reviewed that video in the back of their totalitarianistic process where they later reached out to me to talk to some bozo over a video call that looked like he could work for McDonalds Playhouse. I was told you match all the job points, but we cannot meet your 55k salary requirement. Meanwhile the job was 50k. So, I said I will lower my requested salary. Then, I was denied the actual reason for my application being denied and when I asked the executive decided to give no response. DO NOT WORK FOR THESE PEOPLE. They're all about budgeting and money to keep shareholder pockets deep. They don't care about you.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you had a negative interview experience. We utilize a very thorough interview process to ensure that we are setting all new employees up for success. When making a final decision on an applicant we utilize all application materials and notes. Salary requirements are one of many factors we consider. We would not expect a candidate to accept an offer with a salary far below their salary needs. However, as stated this is one of many factors we consider in our process. I would be happy to look further into your specific circumstance if you would like to email us at careers@milestechnologies.com. While we may not have been able to extend an offer at this time, we with you the best of luck in your career.

      IT Support Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Miles IT (Lumberton, NJ) in Jan 2023

      Interview

The process for me personally is still ongoing. However I will say the experience thus far has been a positive one. I found the company online after I got pulled into an unscheduled meeting with my company's HR & my direct supervisor's supervisor and was given the untimely and unfortunate news that I wouldn't be continuing with them into the 3rd year of my IT career. Miles Technologies had 2 remote/work from home positions that I felt I was suited for so I applied online immediately for the more senior of the two. The online application process/attaching resume was smooth, didn't experience any errors or issues. I received an e-mail response fairly immediately letting me know next steps. The following morning 7am-ish I had received an e-mail and text from a hiring representative of Miles Tech letting me know my next step would be a video interview. Immediately upon attempting the video interview, I encountered an error (mobile) took a screenshot, sent it to the rep that had contacted me and was almost immediately sent a support link, followed the link, submitted the support request, and SparkHire support got back to me also fairly immediately to resolve the issue with my video interview. Proceeded through the video interview, it consisted of 10 questions in total, all were posed directly by the CEO himself which I actually appreciated, and while there were questions that were specific to the role I'm pursuing, there were also questions that speak more to the culture and company environment, and getting to know you as an individual as well. (I've selected NO for did I get an offer, because I haven't got that far yet, but whether I get one or not, I'll likely continue to pursue career options with this company again in the future based on my present experience and information I've gathered on Miles Technologies as an employer in the IT industry)
