Milliman interview questions

The interview process was quite fast and well-organized. I had three interviews in a single week: an initial phone screen, followed by a conversation with the hiring manager, and then a panel interview. Everything went smoothly until the panel interview. During the panel, there were two QA engineers. Most of the interview (approximately 85%) involved questions from one of the interviewers, which were standard and understandable, and I felt I was able to answer them effectively. However, the second interviewer asked only one question, which I found trivial and not meaningful for assessing skills. He asked about the internal mechanics of the `.click()` function in UI automation. I explained that `.click()` is a standard library method and that there is little custom technical complexity involved. The other panelist agreed with my explanation, but the second interviewer continued to insist otherwise. This created a confusing situation, as his claim was inconsistent with standard knowledge of the tool being discussed. Overall, I felt that portion of the interview was not productive and did not effectively assess my skills. While the process was efficient and organized overall, this part of the panel felt misaligned with the level of technical assessment expected for the role.

I was contacted by Milliman regarding an opportunity, The interview was scheduled for 30 minutes but went over the allotted time. I also submitted additional questions afterward, but I did not receive a timely response. When I was contacted a week later, my questions were not addressed; instead, I received a rejection notice along with unsolicited feedback. While I respect the hiring decision, I believe the candidate experience could be improved through clearer time management, timely communication, and ensuring that candidate questions are acknowledged and answered. Providing requested information would create greater transparency, while reserving feedback for when it is asked for would make it more meaningful. This really does feel like a DEI checkbox interview.
