There were 3 stages to the interview process: a phone interview, an in-person technical interview, and another in-person behavioral/cultural fit interview. The phone interview was fairly cursory... an opportunity for them to ensure that they weren't wasting their time in bringing me in for face-to-face conversation. The technical interview was conducted in 3 sections, each by different members of the team. The first phase was an overview of data structures and algorithmic complexity, the second was an object-oriented design exercise, and the final part was a pair-programming exercise. The cultural fit interview was also a 3-part process, wherein I met with folks from other departments.

They have a really excellent indie "talent finder," and don't used stuffed-suit recruiting firms. If they're still using her when you apply, get friendly but be firm and genuine.
