I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mothership Strategies in Oct 2021
Interview
Multiple rounds, fairly conversational with seemingly interesting work. Clear that there would be lots of overtime hours outside of the standard. Team seemed nice but recruiting side made me question the company on a professionalism level. Recruiting side repeatedly missed scheduled interview/call times with no email, did not communicate with company managers, and on initial call did not know what job I had applied for.
Very standard interview questions. They emphasized over and over throughout the process that they would get back to me one way or another and that they didn't want to leave candidates hanging. I never heard from them again after the phone interview. They also spent a great deal of time talking about the culture - it seems like they're trying to emulate a SF tech startup, so if you're not comfortable with that I'd look elsewhere. I would be happy to work in that environment, but they talked about the culture so much I started to wonder what they were hiding/trying to compensate for.

Interview
I received an email on a Thursday from there HR department asking to arrange an interview for the coming week. I responded within a two hour time frame of receiving it letting them know that I was available on Monday and Tuesday the following week, yet I did not here back from HR for another two weeks. After sending 2 follow up email I finally heard back with no real explanation as to what had gone on. Regardless I scheduled the interview for the following week but my impression of the organization had already been tainted. Who are these guys? Don't they know business in D.C. has a strict 24 hour email answer policy?
