I applied through an employee referral. The process took 12 months. I interviewed at Mount Sinai Health System (New York, NY)
Interview
Went through a fairly average interview process, then was told I had been selected for the position but they couldn't send out an offer due to pandemic hiring freeze. This was understandable but the the communication from there on was terrible. I received messages that alternated between implying I should keep waiting and telling me that the position could go away all together. After a few months I was told I'd need to interview with 3 more people. Two weeks passed after the final interview and I followed up 1-2 times. I then got an offer from another employer, which I told the Sinai hiring manager and all the sudden I received an offer less than a day later... including a salary much above what they had indicated in earlier interviews (only because they new there was competition)... left a bad taste in my mouth.

Interview
Hiring process depends on your team, but 1:1 screening call with the hiring manager and on-site back-to-back panel interview with the rest of the team. The panels included a peer culture fit interview and interview with physicians you'd be working with.
Interview questions [1]

Introduce yourself and how do you handle multiple communication styles.
There were 2 steps to the process:
step 1: direct manager questions about experience, projects etc, why you're interested

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Mount Sinai Health System (New York, NY) in Mar 2025
Interview
Smooth! 1:1 with the manager and panel interview with the team which is more back to back. You meet with everyone and answer more peer culture fit questions and may meet the Director.
