I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at NGP VAN (Washington, DC)

Interview

Had two interviews, both on the phone. First was with a director of their "digital" department. Asked me about my resume then some technical questions (Javascript, OOP). Second interview involved solving two technical problems over the computer while on the phone with the interviewer. They were standard programming exercises. It was a little awkward over the phone but the interviewer was helpful.

I applied online. I interviewed at NGP VAN (Somerville, MA) in Jan 2011

Interview

NGP VAN flew me to Boston a few days after a phone screen. The interview took about an hour and a half and consisted of three parts: 1) I was asked some really trivial OOP design questions that tested polymorphism. 2) I was asked basic SQL questions that cover everything from SELECTs to JOINs to HAVING. 3) I was asked to code Tic-Tac-Toe.
