I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at NVA (Hattiesburg, MS) in Feb 2025
Interview
The interview process was quite informal, conducted over the phone. The clinic seemed enthusiastic about my application and eager to collaborate with me. They mentioned the possibility of visiting the clinic in the future to "observe a typical day". They gave the impression that they were preparing to extend a job offer, especially since they were aware I had a few other pending offers that required my decision soon. However, they later informed me that they couldn’t make an offer without an in-person visit, which they now referred to as both an “in-person interview” and a “working interview.” I thought this was a little strange as I was never told there would be an additional interview this late in the process. Despite my concerns about my limited schedule before graduation and the pending offers, they reassured me that it would be worthwhile to give it a try with NVA. I adjusted my schedule accordingly. But just one week before the scheduled in-person interview, I received an email stating that both of their open veterinarian positions had been filled. This entire experience feels like a bait-and-switch, and I can't shake the feeling that I've been misled. This is the THIRD NVA hospital to do something like this to me.
