Interview
A month after I applied, I had a 20-minute screening interview with an internal recruiter. The next day, I had an hour-long interview with two attorneys in the legal department. During the panel interview, one of the interviewers was quite aggressive with her questioning. She kept pushing me to explain my litigation experience and seemed dissatisfied with my answers. When I asked her how she envisioned the day-to-day of this position, she wasn't able to explain it to me, which was a red flag for me. The other interviewer was pleasant. Walking away from the interview, I felt that they were not looking for a junior in-house counsel, as they claimed. Instead, they were looking for a more experienced attorney who is willing to take junior counsel compensation. After seeing Glassdoor reviews about below market compensation at this company, I decided not to move forward with my application.
