My initial phone screening interview with the recruiter went well and she stated the role had an annual salary of X. The next phase involved a series of 4 onsite interviews that were thorough enough. I received an offer about 10 days later for 2k less than the originally discussed X with a 2k raise at 6 months! I was completely taken back that they would do that over such a small amount of money. Immediately made me mistrust the organizations capacity and feel nickel and dimed. I felt it was a very short-sighted way to start a relationship especially over 2k... which come to .96 cents an hour! All but one of the interviewers was very nice and not off-putting. I was disappointed the situation unfolded as it did, but did not regret turning down the offer.
