I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at New Relic (Portland, OR) in Mar 2017
Interview
I was a recent college graduate and have been going through many interviews at the time New Relic reached out to me. Among all of the companies New Relic was the most response and organized company, the process was to talk to two recruiter where we talked about the role and range of compensation, then a 30 min call with HM where he asked me many behavioral question such as how I react in certain situations, immediately after I received another call from a TSE where he asked me very fair technical questions, such as how I debug certain issues to questions about different aspects if Java and .Net. After that I received an email to do a Written Challenge where I had to create a imaginar conversation with a customer and sent it to them, very easy. A couple days after i was invited to fly to Portland for an on-site interview. the interview process took about 3 hours, first to meet with the recruiter to help me stay calm and going over the itinerary. After that I had one hour interview with two TSEs and an hour with two HM, all the questions were fair and they mostly wanted to see if I fit in with the culture and I have the technical background. At the end the HM treats you to lunch from the amazing food carts outside and you have lunch with the rest of the team, at the end you get a tour of the amazing office too.
They got back to me 3 hours after I left and they said I don't have the technical background but they want to have me on board as a Business Support Engineer since I was a fit for the culture. Overal experience was great and I am happy to be here.

How to handle a situation where you are not unaware of the solution
Started with screening call. Then interviews with hiring managers. Fair, asked good questions. Good people. I thought they were thorough but not overly aggressive. All well done by their team overall.
