I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at New Relic (Portland, OR) in Nov 2017
Interview
The recruiting team is top notch! They were in constant communication with me during the entire process. After applying online, I had a 30 minute call with the Senior Recruiter and then a 30 minute call with the Hiring Manager. A few days later, I was given instructions to write a proposal for a direct report that was deserving of a promotion. Later in the week recruiting invited me onsite for a 4-5 hour interview. It consisted of 30-45 minute panel interviews with several Managers, Senior Managers, Directors, and the VP. They treated me to lunch and each person that I met seemed genuinely interested in being involved in the interview process. I received an offer the next day!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked a handful of situational questions, but mostly they wanted to hear about my experience and how things were handled at my previous company.
First met with the recruiter for a screen - only took about 10 minutes and they noted that my resume showed exactly the experience that the hiring manager was looking for so they moved me forward quickly. I met with the hiring manager shortly after then moved into the panel interview.
The panel interview was with some peer managers on the Support team and consisted of 3 meetings over three days, one with the HR business partner and the other two with two people in each group. They were relatively low stress questions, the interviewers were very personable and conversational. They had a specific set of questions to ask. They also each left time for questions for them at the end. Then I spoke once more with the hiring manager to ask any other questions I had. We spoke about how the panel interview went.
The recruiter kept me "warm" while they finished the week with the remaining candidates. I received an email from the recruiter the next week asking for some time to chat, which we set up and they presented a verbal offer! The recruiter was thorough and excited during that call :)
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at New Relic (Portland, OR) in Oct 2018
Interview
Screening call w/recruiter --> Phone interview w/hiring manager --> Written assessment --> In-person interview with hiring manager, peers, senior leadership --> lunch with same --> in-person interview with add'l senior leadership. The process was thorough but not especially intimidating. They did a great job of making me feel comfortable. The hiring team was very organized.

Question 1
Describe a situation where you had to manage an underperforming member of your team.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at New Relic (Portland, OR) in Mar 2018
Interview
A recruiter contacted me, I was then given 2 phone screens (recruiter, then hiring manager) followed by a written exercise. This was then followed by an onsite interview (with roughly 9 people over 5-ish hours, broken in 45m segments), and finally a quick video call with the department's VP. It was extremely thorough (in the best way).
