I was an employee referral. The entire process was very fast and efficient. I had an initial phone screen with internal recruiter which went well. Next, he scheduled an onsite meeting with a couple of sales managers. It was a very pleasant process and we hit off. To be fair, I am experienced in SaaS and the universe of cloud adoption, migration and digital transformation. As well as fluency in MEDDIC and ValueSelling sales processes which is a great help in moving the interview process forward. I am required to do a mock sales presentation as next steps. they sent me a case study and deck of slides to prepare with a few days to prepare. The presentation was pretty straightforward discovery/qualifying sales process. If you don't come from the SaaS/cloud adoption/digital transformation background, a little homework would go a long way to ace it. In the end, it is all about a solid sales discovery process, addressing prospects' concerns, pain points, budget, timeline, understand who is your champion, and secure next steps.
