I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at New Relic in Jul 2018
Interview
- Quick call with the internal recruiter
- 45 minute onsite interview with a team manager
- Take home code challenge
- All day onsite interview with the team
- 2-3 technical type interviews
- 2-3 culture and personal interviews
It's a decent interview process, but it has some issues. New Relic encourages people to move internally, which is great. However, if you are applying from the outside and mid-process someone internally wants the job, you have to start all over again with a different team. Some teams require their own code challenge, and some don't, so I ended up doing more than one. I did well enough in my interviews to be considered hireable somewhere, but I had to keep interviewing for months before they could find a spot for me.
