Interview process started with recruiter reaching out via linked in. Recruiter interview went well and I liked how friendly this person was. She then explained their process clearly. It got me excited and we proceeded to Group VP interview. Interview went really well and we connected on all key points that they were looking for. Couple of days later I was told they wanted hiring manager to interview me. It got scheduled after a week. On the day of interview, prior to the interview time, I tried looking up the posting once again to ensure I prepared well. But I could no longer see the posting. This made me feel queasy. But I went on with the interview. This discussion also went well by my estimation. I was supposed to get feedback in 2 days max. Original recruiter contacts me again on linked in saying “sorry that other posting is closed” and wants to talk about different opportunity. I said it’s fine let’s talk. During the discussion she goes on to say that after my interview they had a different strong candidate who was offered and accepted. I know for a fact that the posting was removedbefore my interview. So, I know they wasted my time. I accept rejections tall headed but wasting my timereally got my nerve.
