Starts with a screen with HR and then the hiring manager. Then you are given a coding challenge, which is followed up by some technical interviews. All of the span of about 5-6 weeks.
I had to remove myself from consideration after I had multiple other offers to consider.
All in all, it's not too bad of a hiring process, but New Relic does NOT move fast. The fact that I started this process on the 11th of April, and it's now almost the 11th of May, and I'm just now getting final interviews scheduled really displays how slow this process is.
My advice for Hiring Manager - there is NO reason whatsoever to gatekeep interviews with a coding challenge, it's using up crucial time that we COULD be using to perform the other interviews.
The fact that you are so dead set in your process, means that you will constantly be outmaneuvered by smaller, more agile companies in the talent market.
