After submitting my application online, I was contacted the same day by the hiring manager. We set up an informal interview over coffee for later that week. Meeting in person was a fantastic experience. I gathered that the managers really care about their employees and their happiness. This was really appealing to me. I was then asked to do a short code challenge which was pretty standard. The day after turning it in, I was offered to come in for an on site interview. That interview was grueling and lasted from 9am to about 4pm. I met with about 5 different people and included two different coding type challenges. Ultimately, I was not offered the position, but the reason was reasonable and very well stated. I was told to apply for other jobs in the company and to contact the the guy I'd interviewed with so he could recommend me. I responded to this email asking for specifics on how I could improve my skills for next time and got back a detailed response. All in all, though exhausting, I had a great experience. They are a company I really want to work for.
