I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at New Relic (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2015
Interview
The entire interview process was pretty challenging. I was phone screened quickly after I was referred by my friend that works at the company. Over the next 4 weeks i had another phone call with the hiring manager and 2 in-person interviews. After that i was given an assignment to test my basic knowledge and skills in my field and then one more phone call to present it. I was very impressed with the diligence and professionalism of the hiring team and recruiting team. I was constantly kept in the loop in regards to the the progress of the interview and next steps.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked various situational questions and general background.
Applied online. The recruiter was nice and informative. The call with the hiring manager was a disaster. They are a new hire, so I guess they had something to prove. They grilled me with questions that were not relevant to the role or my background. Interrupted me several times, so many red flags throughout the call.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at New Relic (New York, NY) in Nov 2021
Interview
5 or 6 interviews with different members of the team and stakeholders. Common questions with nice people. The recruiter is in constant contact with you and it was a smooth and easy process that took a couple of weeks.

Question 1
Q. What are your weaknesses? Q. Why do/did you leave your last company? Nothing too unusual
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at New Relic (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2018
Interview
1 Phone interview, 2 video interviews with the last being with many people. Whole process took about a week before an offer and went very smoothly. Interviewers didn't grill you with questions, they used a select few questions to guide conversation. Felt like a 2-way conversation, not an interrogation.
