Great initial call with walk-through of roles within team and overall process. Then a series of interviews across sub-teams to understand scope of teams and potential roles you might be placed in. Genuine interest from interviews in understanding what skillset you're looking to hone and how the roles day-to-day can enable that. One key thing--be ready to talk everything NYT, and be ready to gush about journalism. People are passionate about journalism and the news. For me personally, it was a bit too self-serious/self-important.
