I originally applied for the position on December 15, 2022 after seeing an advertisement for it on LinkedIN. The LinkedIN job posting redirected me to the Workday page for NYP & had me fill out a basic application. About 2-3 weeks later I received a phone call from an NYP recruiter who asked me a bunch of basic recruiter questions. Overall this phone call was about 20-30 minutes and it ended with her telling me that she would be forwarding all of my answers to the Audio Visual Services team at NYP & that if they liked my answers then they would get back to me in 24-48 hours to set up a Zoom interview. I received an email in less than 24 hours from the Audio Visusl Services team and then we proceeded to set up a Zoom interview for the next week. In this interview, I met with the whole team for about 30 minutes and they asked me a variety of basic interviews questions and also asked me questions pertaining to my resume. The interview ended with the Audio Visual Services team telling me that for the next 2 weeks they would be interviewing the other candidates and if they were going to move forward with me, then they would reach out. About 2-3 weeks later I received an email from the Executive Director of NYP asking to set up an interviews with me, and we set it up for the following week. I met with the Executive Director of NYP over Zoom and in this interview she asked me questions related to my resume and my previous professional experiences and educations. This interview lasted 30 minutes and she ended with telling me that the next steps would be to provide references. About 4-5 days later I received a call from the intitial recruiter who first called me back at the beginning of this whole process and she explained that it was now down to me and 1 other candidate and we both had about 5-6 days to get 5 references to fill out a confidential NYP form that would be sent to their emails. I got my references to do everything in about 2-3 days and the next week I got a final call from that same recruiter for NYP who provided me with the amazing news that I got the job. Overall, this was a very long process and it was not easy. In total it was about 6-7 weeks and now my onboarding process for the job is another 5 weeks.
