I was contacted by one of NextEra's recruiters on LinkedIn about an opening at the company. We scheduled a call to chat about some open positions, which resulted in setting up an interview with the hiring manager for a role in the Mobility department. This portion of the recruiting/interview process was pretty typical. The actual interview with the hiring manager for the position was below average. I'm very familiar with NextEra and did my research before the interview, but the hiring manager didn't even attempt to sell me on the company or mention anything positive about working there. I also felt like the interviewer didn't like that I asked basic questions about workload for the position and work-life balance at the company, which I think are important things to discuss during the interview process. His responses made it clear he was overworked and that whoever accepted the role would be expected to regularly work more than full-time hours. I never heard back from anyone at NextEra after the interview with an update. I know it is a big company and I only interacted with one department/hiring manager, but the experience makes me hesitant to apply for any roles with NextEra in the future.

I had an initial screen with recruiter. The call was the typical robotic phone screen. Recruiter asked me to go over my resume and experience and then she briefly discussed the role. The poor recruiter seemed swamped with no help. Appears they are regularly reposting jobs months at a time, leaving the recruiters to do pointless work.

Interviewer spent 25 of the 45 min telling me how terrible the role is due to backstabbing and sabotage. Then spent 10 min talking about herself. Not a surprise that she ghosted me after the interview.
