I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at NextRoll in Jan 2019
Interview
Two recruiters contacted me via LinkedIn. In their email they asked if I would be interested in scheduling a call to learn more about AdRoll and possible opportunities that fit my experience. I agreed, thinking this was a casual call and they would give me information so I could decide if these opportunities would be a fit. Once the call started I realized this was a screening call. I was never given the name of the role, just the department and that it would be a manager position, so I wasn’t even 100% sure what I was being screened for. Finally we got to a point where I could ask questions. I asked for additional info and was told I could just read the job description, which again I had not received or even knew the specific roles prior to the call. The recruiter told me the hiring manager would fill me in one details if they decided to move forward with me When the question of salary came up, it was clear they couldn’t afford what I’m currently making. Over all, this 30 minutes was a huge waste of time and could have been shorted if they stuck to the original request of allowing the time for me to learn more about the roles and company rather than going straight into a screening call. They next day I revived the standard “thank you for your interest, but...” email. I’m fine with it because I wasn’t actually interested. AdRoll forgot that the interview process goes two ways.
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at NextRoll (New York, NY) in Jan 2022
Interview
- applied online
- phone call with HR
- video call with hiring manager
- 3 interviews with different team leaders
The overall process was ok and fast. HR is supposed to give you topics of conversation before your interview. However, mine didn’t. After five interviews, it would be nice to receive an email or call from recruiter I was working with and at least get some feedback rather than a generic email .
