Interview
I met with hiring manager who contacted me through LinkedIn, came back in to meet with the Director of Training / Development. I was given surveys to do with 10 people I know and then 5 people referred by original 10 and I also needed to make a list of at least 200 personal contacts. Came back in to meet with the Managing Director.Talked quite a bit about work / life balance and flexibility, being passionate about helping people, what financial security means to different people. They made it clear that a financial rep needs to be coachable, courageous and have a lot of conviction.

What has been your biggest accomplishment to date, work or personal.
There were four or five interviews, if you count the meeting with my future mentor. There were also a few personality assessments. Lots of paperwork. The finance industry is tightly regulated.
The first interview was easygoing and went fairly well. We talked a little on myself and what northwestern was all about. Because they wanted to see how I could fit in to their team and what I would bring.

The process was smooth and straight forward. A lot of behavioral based questions, but relaxed and low stress. First phase is a phone screening followed by a teams or in person meeting.
