Interview 1, good experience: fact-finding with recruiter, referral onto hiring manager
Interview 2, excellent experience: fact-finding with hiring manager, introduction to upper management, excellent experience, task given which was completed to hiring manager's expectations (market surveys)
Interview 3, excellent experience: getting to know Northwestern Mutual w/ hiring manager, discussed the possibility of moving forward with Northwestern Mutual
Interview 4, average experience: fact-finding with upper management and his subordinate, average experience
Interview 5, poor experience: interview with upper management, who was late to our meeting and asked me to complete the same task I already completed. He was unaware I had already completed his surveys and ask that I give him 200 names. I respectfully declined his invitation to move forward with more Northwestern Mutual interviews.
Each person who interviewed me provided inconsistent information what the other said and my overall impression left me with a strong sense that the Fairlawn, OH branch had an opportunity to improve synergy. Northwestern Mutual seems like a quality company to work for if you can find the right fit and set of managers. Every office is different.
