Interview
I applied online through an employment search engine. They responded to my e-mail within a few days, and I scheduled a phone interview a week later. It was really straight forward, as was the next interview I scheduled ( which was in person this time). After the second interview, you have to fill out a market research packet, as well as gather a short list of people you can call on to ask about their experience with financial professionals. After submitting this and doing a 3rd, very brief phone interview, I was hired and began the training program about a couple weeks later.
There were four or five interviews, if you count the meeting with my future mentor. There were also a few personality assessments. Lots of paperwork. The finance industry is tightly regulated.
The first interview was easygoing and went fairly well. We talked a little on myself and what northwestern was all about. Because they wanted to see how I could fit in to their team and what I would bring.

The process was smooth and straight forward. A lot of behavioral based questions, but relaxed and low stress. First phase is a phone screening followed by a teams or in person meeting.
