Round 1: A chat with the recruiter. Round 2: A video interview with the hiring manager, who was a pleasure to talk to. Round 3: Preparation and presentation of a case study to three senior IT leaders. I found this process constructive and an excellent test of both communication and technical knowledge. Round 4: Part 1: Interview with two senior managers who were friendly and made me feel comfortable. They asked well-thought-out questions. Part 2: Interview with a D365 engineer and a website engineer. Unfortunately, these individuals were unfriendly and seemed more interested in asserting their importance. They appeared to lack technical knowledge in some architectural concepts and took offense when I tried to explain things they didn’t know. They also provided factually incorrect feedback to the recruiter, almost as if they were trying to ensure the role wouldn’t be filled. Overall, the senior management were very nice and seem like great people to work with. Even though the two engineers make it difficult to recommend the company, I appreciate that the senior management considered their views, despite their flaws, when making their decision. This demonstrates a good culture from the management team.
