There is an initial screener e-mail with a few questions. One question asks if you have been vaccinated or would request a religious exemption. I then had a phone screen with a person from HR. They mentioned that the company would occasionally have events in-person and asked if I would be okay with wearing a mask since I wasn't vaccinated (while the vaccinated employees would not be required to). I said I would consider it, despite feeling that it is a form of publicly ostracizing employees. For context, I am not anti-masks when there is a pragmatic safety issue, but the CDC currently only recommends it for public transport or if there is a lot of COVID cases in your area. . As a last aside, I generally don't like companies that have "mandatory fun" events anyways so I feel that I dodged a bullet here.
Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We've worked hard throughout the pandemic to provide as safe and comfortable a working environment for our team as possible. Part of that effort includes clear guidelines around vaccinations and masking. Also, while we do host a wide range of social events for our team and community, none of our after hours events are mandatory for members of our team to attend. Thank you for applying and interviewing with us, I wish you the best in your future endeavors.
