I called around to stores in my area with perfume and makeup counters. I called every store in the mall. When I got to Lord & Taylor, I was put through to the Cosmetics Manager, who didn't have a perfume opening but told me about a Dior Makeup Artist position. Since I use Dior products regularly, I impressed him with my knowledge and he set up an interview. The day of the interview, HR explained the technical details of the job. After that, I interviewed with the Cosmetics manager in person. Finally, I met and spoke with the Dior counter manager at Lord & Taylor. They called me a few days later with the job offer.
