You mentioned the video submission and test, and that’s correct. We do ask candidates to submit a video and answer screening questions, followed by a skills test. Given our fully remote, work-from-home setup, we are grateful to get a lot of applicants, so this process helps us ensure candidates meet the role’s requirements and are serious about joining Patch My PC. The test focuses on core skills that are applicable to the position, such as “Microsoft Office” or “Customer Service,” and helps us maintain fairness in evaluating everyone.
Regarding diversity, I understand your concern. I want to be clear that we hire based on values and skills, not race. Our team represents a diverse mix of backgrounds, cultures, and countries, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Egypt, France, India, Romania, the United Kingdom, and more. We believe in building a team that brings different perspectives to the table, and this helps us connect better with our global customers.
That said, we are always committed to fairness and inclusivity in our hiring practices. As part of this commitment, we conducted a third-party review based on this feedback to ensure we continue upholding those standards and addressing any unconscious bias. The review is complete, and we did not find any issues. However, we will continue to monitor our processes and provide ongoing training to ensure our team is always learning and improving in this area.
As for professional growth, we’re always looking for team members who want to grow. Our culture encourages constant learning and development, and we support team members in their ambitions to explore new areas. We value curiosity and “Thinking Big,” and it’s rare for anyone who doesn’t share those values to stay long-term with us.
