I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Patrocinium (Reston, VA) in Dec 2016
Interview
I was initially contacted by a recrutier and invited to apply. The first step was a generic phone scren where the recruiter asked me to describe my job and previous work history.
Afterwards, I was invited for an onsite interview. The interview consisted of a basic programming question, followed by a few behavioral questions. Afterwards, I was given a demo of their product, and asked a few questions about the company.
The onsite interview made me wary about working at the company. They didn't properly evaluate my programming skills or culture fit, which made me think they were simply looking for a warm body to fill the position. Also, the financial stability of the company seemed questionable. The interviewer mentioned how the company was recently restructured, and that many people were laid off recently. Finally, she mentioned that they did not have any sales, making me question how the company was making money.

Interview
I applied directly with the company. There was a phone interview and then an in-person interview. The in-person interview consisted of basic skills and behavioral questions. The interviewer then talked about the company, product and roadmap. I was really impressed with the technology and everyone who worked there seemed really dedicated to the company's mission.
