Pepco Holdings interview questions

First I had a phone interview with an HR person which was fine. Then I had a "panel interview" which was horrible. It was a total interrogation- question after question all pegged exactly to the position description. And they asked "probing questions" if I faltered- supposed to help me respond in detail. It was really a bad experience. There was no conversation and I have no idea what the people are like who I would work for. It makes me wonder what Pepco is like to work for if they think this is how to conduct interviews. They said it is "fair" in that everybody is asked the same questions and I think someone else may score the answers. They were writing madly the entire time. THis was the worse interview... I have no clue what they want other than the questions asked and who the people are who I would report to. This does not mean, I guess, it is a bad place- but the interview made me wonder.

Phone interview was very long, one hour. Next a week later was a panel interview where they all asked me prescripted questions about scenarios. Two of the three interviewees did not work in office where I was applying. Never given chance to ask questions. Offer to come back and meet with everyone was declined
