I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at PetSmart (Toronto, ON) in Apr 2015
Interview
I applied online and was called a week later and asked to come in for an interview. I interviewed with the floor manager. She went through my resume with me and asked me about how I would handle going from my current job (nanny) into retail. She also asked me about why I wanted to work at Petsmart. I ended up coming in for a second interview with the store manager. He went through my resume as well and asked me about what I would do in a stressful situation with a customer. He got a little personal about my living situation and the status of me finding a new place to live but other then that he was nice. Overall, the interviews were easy and lasted all together 45 minutes- 1 hour. I got called the next week and was offered the job. I declined because I am looking for more full-time and they didn't specify if I would be working full or part time until near the end of my second interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What would you do if a customer needed help with a product?
Called me into the store and asked basic questions about what I'd be comfortable doing and hours that I would want to work. Very simple overall. Got a call back a few days later
Very disorganized in the beginning but I finally got in touch with the right person and the remainder of the process was seamlless. They were willing to take a chance on me and I really appreciated that
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PetSmart (Plant City, FL)
Interview
Short and sweet. Offered job same or next day. Single interview and consisted of easy to answer questions and was with 2 managers, at the same time. Job was amazing! I only left due to a major car accident that caused a horrible back surgery.
