Philip Morris International interview questions

Interview screening call with the recruiting team to discuss background, your interest in the role and organization. Followed by a virtual interview with hiring manager and then ultimately an onsite interview.

It was very clear from the beginning of the interview stage, the job didn't require the french skills and my french skills are not fluent but at improving stage. After HR screening, I have passed hiring manager interview, scored above average on SHL Test and also cleared cross functional interview stage. But at the last interview with People & Culture, they asked for immediate french fluency skills suddenly and rejected me due to this which I find very unprofessional.
