Hello there, I'm the VP HR and one of my Recruiters brought this to my attention - so I wanted to respond and apologize for the service you received from us and to also give you some additional information on our Open House.
The Recruiter who called and scheduled you and then unscheduled the interview is brand new on the job. She was in her second week when she called you and cancelled the interview. She absolutely knows that this is not how we conduct business and the poor girl felt terrible when read the review. Its all good now and we have moved forward, but she definitely knows not do that again.
Regarding parking - we are aware our parking could stand improvement. We have one of our staff, drive Open House Attendees back and forth, so you don't have to walk about 5 minutes to our front door - especially in the heat or rain - that would be terrible. We have more than doubled our staff in the last 5 years, and we are currently working on a more permanent parking solution.
Regarding our Open House, we love having Open Houses and inviting people in to come and see what we have here. We love that people can see our company for themselves. I don't particularly think we are boastful - but if you are going to come here, we are going to show you around so you can see for yourself - we just really do have many great things about working here. And we have to show you. I imagine that all companies promote their perks.
Typically after the tour and snacks, we like to at least get in a small chat with each person. Some Open Houses are really big and I would be lying if I said we catch everyone every time. I apologize that you didn't get talk to anyone even for a small chat. If you are still interested, I would be happy to invite you in for an interview. If not I do understand and I do wish you all the best in your future career.
