Interview
The manager who interviewed me asked me questions that I know are illegal to ask prospective employees. He pressed me to tell him exactly where I was born. He then pushed me to tell him "how big my family is" even though I was visibly uncomfortable and asked him why he was asking me that kind of question.
He told me that Primerica is not only ok with hiring people with ZERO financial background, they prefer it. He looked unhappy when he realized that I did have some financial background and asked him specific questions when what he was saying didn't add up.
After his pitch I pointed out that this was the strangest "interview" I've ever had and based on what he told me, this company has the structure of an MLM. His response? "Well, MLMs aren't illegal....but we aren't one anyways so it doesn't matter."
They offer no benefits like health insurance, training hours are UNPAID, and he told me I could start sooner if I wrote him a check for $125 at the end of the interview! I have never been more shocked and disturbed by an interview before.
Was a quick and simple seminar I attended for my first interview. Wanted me to pay for my own background check after my first interview, and not much personal talking.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Primerica (Salisbury, NC) in Nov 2022
Interview
Pretty simple. Ask about your life and future goals. It’s basically a sit down and they describe how the company is set up and what it does for it’s clients.
