I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Primerica (Southaven, MS) in Sep 2018

      Interview

Very brief and fishy no resume needed. Very scam like, rapid nonetheless. They tell you about how the company changed them and you need 124 dollars to join them on scamming your friends and family and the undermine you when you have questions about the pyramid scheme that they have going on

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Primerica (Houston, TX) in Oct 2024

      Interview

My interview was held via Zoom in which is normal. However the recruiter seemed very young and later she revealed that she was only 22yrs old. She was very friendly but a little unprofessional during the many "check in" video chats. She did have her script down pat and was able to quickly refute any questions that I had, even though they made no sense. I never applied for this job so I'm guessing that they found my resume on Indeed and contacted me but under another name and not the true name Primerica. If they had I would not have even entertained their offer at all due to their past reputation and the fact that I didn't want a commission only job. Somehow she overlooked or simply didn't know the that I have a degree in finance as well as holding a several investment licenses, SEC, Series 6, 7, 63. She begin by telling me that the company would help me to obtain "the license" needed in order to sale insurance but I would have to pay $125 upfront and once I obtain my license the company would reimburse me $150. What she failed to mention is that you wouldn't receive your money back until ALL of the licenses are obtained meaning, Property and Causality, Life, Mortgage, and Investments. that would take a really long time to accomplish. Since the job is 100% commission you would go an extremely long time without pay. To make matters worse she not only expected me to pay $125 for the license fee right then and there. I had never been on an interview where the employer asked for money. She then began hard selling me on purchasing insurance through their company for my whole household, 3 different policies. She even went as far as guaranteeing an 9% interest rate on a 35 year life insurance plan. WHAT?! That was absolutely untrue. This company seems like a classic pyramid scheme. After saying that I got the job and at our next meeting, i needed to have the $125 and a list of 20 people that i know inorder to sale life insurance to them no matter if they already hold policys AND another list of people to recruit to the company. The way she continuously texted me twice a day asking about my timeframe for having the $125 and the progress of my list of people made me feel like this was a scam and I blocked her. I hope others have had a much better experience than I did. I don't even know how they are still around so maybe my experience was rare but I would advise anybody to not proceed with this company or less you're comfortable turning all of your family and friends into clients.

      Insurance Sales Agent Interview

      Apr 6, 2023

      Positive experience

      Application

      I interviewed at Primerica

      Interview

I was first recruited to Primerica last year, and am excited to begin working with them this year. It’s certainly an unconventional process, but it also seems to be similar to most insurance sales job “overview/interview” processes. Here are the details: -I clicked an add on facebook in the fall of 2022 about achieving financial security and wealth building -I was contacted by someone who set up an appointment with me to meet with an Insurance Agent (I did not know that is what she did at the time of making the appointment) -The Insurance Agent had a fairly mind-blowing (to me at least. knowing very little about the financial sector of at the time) and extremely informative presentation, at the end of which she both offered the product and to support me in becoming employed there. Later I asked if they recruit (or are expected to attempt to recruit) all of their potential clients to also be sales agents & she told me that no, she only offers that to individuals who seem very excited or motivated by the information she is sharing. -She then kindly & patiently, through a series of virtual meetings, walked me through the steps of joining the company, options for in person vs virtual classes “, and new agent’s personal investments including licensure fees (reimbursed by Primerica). -With the investment being minimal & my being in need of a way to generate income l, I did sign up, but it very quickly became evident to me that I couldn’t process the material quickly due to a chronic neurological -She accepted what was essentially a soft decline of the offer graciously & asked me to get back in touch if anything changed -This spring 2023 I am still job hunting & have been recruited heavily by other life insurance agencies & I met with her again to discuss my options -She reassured me that I am still active in the system, answered questions I had about lead generation & salary & welcomed me back after i let her know that I would like to proceef
