I was reached out by a manager on LinkedIn who was looking for "dynamic people with leadership" to manage teams and branches. Having no experience whatsoever in finance I found this quite odd, but according to the recruiter this was preferable, as they basically need people with 0 idea of this actually work in order for them to jump on board. Had I have actually knowledge in this field "it would have been hard to deprogram" me. Indeed! I had a phone call with the manager who was very pleasant but never actually touched the job description, only briefly at the end, with an offer for a "proper job interview" via a video call that I agreed to. After this call, I chatted with other friends also looking for new jobs, and loads of them have been approached by this recruiter, with the same speech, none with experience in this field. Reading online about the company, I got this Robin Hood wannabe company was actually a nice MLM one, hence all the nonsense. For the craig, I went for the video call that lasted quite a while, with a lovely Power Point full of charts and pies (only the pyramid, only relevant shape here was missing), explaining how banks and gouvernments were horrible authorities robbing the poor middle class, and the brave Primerca was here to save them. Meanwhile, the actual job description and questions about my work experience were still non existant. Apparently it doesn't matter what would make me a great candidate for a job we don't know much about anyway! A farce all the way and a waste of time, hence this review if it can help save yours. At the end I was supposed to hear from them to receive more documents about the company, but I haven't received them.
