Applied for a job on Indeed, for what seemed like a small start up that involved financial advising under an LLC name. Set up a video call. Was given a lot of elaborate stories and antidotes about how wonderful the company was--which is very strange, because the company name wasn't mentioned until I got about 30 minutes into the video call interview. When I heard the name, I understood why I was given such a strange introduction to the company. I told the interviewer I am not interested in commission only life insurance sales, and left the interview. Was very frustrated that the interviewer presented this as something more aligned with my financial background. But glad I remember being pestered by these people in my 20s, and having heard how much people lose in MLMs so I now know they aren't worth it. To at least the vast majority of people in them. Be careful as many postings on major job boards are these MLMs in disguise.
