It was a very simple process. Two Skype interviews that lasted no more than 10 minutes each and I was hired. They simply did a quick review of my resume, and I highlighted some very simple points from it. The majority of the interviews focused on life at sea, which was beneficial. I left feeling a little confused, as I feel I didn't have to sell myself at all, and they just wanted to fill the role. No need to overprep - just know your skills and highlights and be yourself. No drug test or background check necessary - although you are subject to a drug test at anytime onboard.
