      Entry-level Administrative Positions Interview

      Apr 5, 2013
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Boston, MA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at ProPivotal (Boston, MA)

      Interview

After submitting my resume online they called me for an interview. When I went in they immediately had me take a series of skills tests, pretty standard stuff. Then I met with a recruiter who seemed very distracted and I felt like I answered the same questions a couple of times, all the while the recruiter looked like he was rushing through the process and left the interview a couple of times to run to his cubicle to check on something. As the interview finished, he said he would be in touch soon with possible job matches. I definitely wasn't feeling too great about PSG when I left the office, but then it got even worse. Within the next week I got at least 3 calls from different PSG recruiters, none of whom were the same person I had met with. All 3 of the recruiters that called me that week sounded like the worst used car salesmen you can imagine. They called me about jobs that didn't match my degree, skill set, interests, or even minimum acceptable wage for me (a whopping $12/hour by the way was all I was asking for, because I didn't know any better). The recruiters all had the nerve to start off the conversation by saying they had found such "a great opportunity" that was such a "perfect match" for me. Give me a break! All they wanted to do was farm me out as cheap labor so that they could get their commission. The really pathetic thing is that I was so desperate for work that if they had just been frank and honest with me about the positions, I probably would have accepted them and easily have been stuck at horrible dead-end jobs. Thankfully, they left me with such a slimy feeling that I had few qualms about saying, "no thanks".

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Asking me the same question several times because recruiter wasn't paying attention and asking me questions about my background/experience which clearly did not apply to me if he had so much as glanced at my resume or skill test scores.
