First stage interview via Teams which went well, then second stage face to face at Corby head office.
First stage was with hiring manager and her line manager. Was a good enjoyable interview, I gained a very good impression of RS Group as a business and clearly made a good impression on them as was quickly offered a second interview on site at Corby the following week.
This was again with hiring manager who left a positive impression, and she was joined by the business area CFO who turned up late, made it clear the hybrid working policy that the company promote was something he didn't agree with at all and tended to interrupt. However, it would have been something I was interested in taking forward as the role sounded interesting, the hiring manager came across very well and the business sounded a good place to be.
Unfortunately, they proceeded to go completely radio silent for over 2 weeks, with the odd response from talent acquisition giving an update but essentially they didn't want to feed back to anyone until they had interviewed all. In the end, after over 2 weeks and no decision I pulled out of the process - in that 2 weeks I had a second and third interview, verbal offer, contract and start date while RS were dithering.
Shame the candidate experience in the end was so poor as until the second interview they came across so well.
