Interview
Phone interview by recruiter, followed by skype interview by the hiring manager and another PM. Followed by onsite interviews by around 7 people.
They offered me the position and the offer was low according to my expectations, but they rescinded the offer later saying they could not sponsor visa for this position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Lots of behavioral, product management related, fit and technical questions. Fundamental Questions about protocols, product success metrics etc.
Very negative experience. The person taking the interview was doing gym exercises while asking me questions. Many questions asked were irrelevant to the experience/ job profile. And like always HR ghosted me after this. Very unprofessional behaviour from Rackspace
Un proceso muuuy tardado con poca informacion entre fase y fase, no se por ejemplo si sigo en el proceso o ya no. Gente muy agradable siendo empleada con un apego y amor por su compañia envidiable.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Rackspace Technology (London, England) in Aug 2022
Interview
1 call, 2 Zoom meetings. First call with recruiter was positive talked about career history, salary, previous experience very positive can’t fault the recruiters lasted about 20 minutes. Second meeting with the hiring manager general discussion about career history, again very positive, lasted about an hour.
3rd interview was to provide a presentation based on a project worked on within the past 18 months, no so easy task given the pandemic but completed, general questions positive from 2 out of the 3 interviewers however the final result was that an offer was not made on the basis of seemingly one question “Why Rackspace?” My answer was that I wanted to join a company where I could progress gain more experienced from a large organisation and progress my career with them. Apparently the correct answer would have been for me to state what I could offer Rackspace. Please bear this in mind if taking an interview so you can do better than I.
