I submitted my application through Handshake. I received a technical challenge a couple days later, and was given one week to complete it. After submitting my results, I was told they wouldn't be moving forward with my application.

Two challenges were given. I solved both of them and also responded with changes to their review comments. The puzzles are interesting and challenging. However, their expectations are not clear. Even though I solved the puzzles (and I see that others have experienced the same), they are unwilling to move forward. It’s strange. Also their communication is odd, I was notified by some sort of automated system and that email went straight to spam. A little respect for the candidates, by more humanly notifying them, wouldn’t hurt them, after all significant time is spent by candidates on the puzzles

In brief, MY WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. The process: I had sent my CV via e-mail and received a challenge a week later, comprised of two parts that would need to be submitted within 7 days. What I did: 1. Deployed a fully functional (correct results based on the given example) code for the challenge #1. 2. Complemented it with an 8-page write-up. 3. Fully and properly completed the puzzle challenge #2. 4. Submitted my solutions and my motivation (not that it was necessary), as part of how exciting the challenge indeed was. 5. All these, within the allotted time frame. No response, AT ALL. What really got me upset is the fact that I spent ~50-60hrs in order to come up with all of the aforementioned points, and I did NOT receive any - ANY - response. And by any, I mean that I followed-up with 10 e-mails in total, sent a DM to the job poster on Reddit, contacted via message the job poster on LinkedIn and even tried to ask for an update via LinkedIn from a co-patriot working there. NO RESPONSE - EVER; not even for acknowledging my submission. When I was spending all this time, I never thought that I would not even receive an update. I have been frustrated many times with past interview processes, but here I had to spend a severe amount of time, while studying towards my Masters, preparing for OSCP and working night shifts. Will I have this time back?!
