I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Redfin
Interview
Applied online; received a call from HR recruiter a day or two later; was scheduled for an in-person interview; asked back for a group interview and to perform a few in-person tasks; was offered position next day
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell us about a time you went above and beyond for a customer.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Redfin (San Jose, CA) in May 2015
Interview
1) Applied online
2) Interviewed on the phone by Redfin HR - really nice person who went through job description and pay per task. Then asked why I wanted to be a realtor with Redfin and if I had ever done something special for a customer. Very happy with my answers, said I would get an interview in person.
3) Interviewed in person by an uninterested, annoyed Redfin high rank local employee. Although my answers to the same questions were even more thought out on my part, this employee was annoyed that I had applied for an AA position and I was not 20 years old.
We should be allowed to get the hourly job that fits our interest, schedule and skills: I know now that the statement, "Redfin is an equal opportunity employer" it is not what it appears to mean.

Question 1
Why I wanted to be a realtor with Redfin and if I had ever done something special for a customer.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Redfin (Seattle, WA) in Jul 2015
Interview
A preliminary phone interview and then a face to face interview with a manager and someone in the position I was applying for. I had the chance to ask in depth questions and find out more about company culture. It was more of a great conversation than just a straight interview.
