Reliable Robotics Senior Systems Integration Engineer interview questions

The interview process was long. Initially I had a 1hr technical screen with the hiring manager, then they gave me a take home project to complete which took me about 8hrs or so where their prompt specified they expect the candidate to spend around 4hrs, thinking I’d already gone above and beyond their expectations. I then went over the project presentation with the hiring manager and another person from the team for an hour, and then later they said they’d pass it around internally for other to review and get back to me on if they wanted to do an on-site interview. I received a call later that week that they wouldn’t be moving me forward to the on-site because my design in the project didn’t go into as much depth as they were looking for in a few areas. Overall I spent a lot of my personal time to essentially be told I didn’t put in enough time on the take home project, which I find very disrespectful of candidates’ time as not everyone can spend untold amounts of time on something with no promise of a return. I found the manager calling me to reject me was at least a classy move, but be prepared to go way above and beyond in their take-home round if you want to stand a chance.
